La Francia è un paese strano, da un certo punto di vista è un popolo che si contradisce molto, hanno una grande cultura del cibo ma poi già dai anni '80 hanno accettato i mega supermercati e centri commerciali. Nonostante ciò i piccoli centri storici sono pieni di vita con piccoli negozi specializzati. Non capisco come mai in Italia in molti comuni stanno scomparendo ma in Francia nonostante la crisi, nonostante i centri storici chiusi al traffico tutti escono a piedi o in bici con il loro panier al bracio (uomini e donne) pronti per affrontare negozietti e mercati pieni di colori, profumi e bontà locali.
I finally have a "panier"!
I have been dreaming of a "panier" for my shopping for years! I guess that it is the French culture stuck in me after so many years growing up there. In Italy they cost too much but in France you can find one for 10/15€.
France is a strange country, it contradicts itself, as despite its great food culture it has accepted great supermarkets and malls since the 80's. Nevertheless its small historic towns still live full of small specialised shops. I don't understand why in many towns in Italy this isn't happening and many shops are dying out, in France despite the economic crisis, despite historic areas are closed to the traffic, all walk or bike with their panier (men and women) ready to go in shops and markets full of colours, scents and local goodies.
